The risk of severe social rigidity and intolerance is real, and we confront this every day in others and also in ourselves. Anyone who does anything different from us can seem like a threat and provoke fear. 😬

Susan Jeffers in “Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway” suggests that even if we change just one aspect, such as cooking for different people or in a different place, not to mention trying a new recipe, it can cause anxiety. If your desire to try new things is greater than your fear of failure, then you’ll take the leap. πŸš€

If your fear is greater, you can still choose to do it anyway and reap the rewards afterward! Think about any challenge you accepted… why did it feel so good to do it anyway? πŸ’ͺ

There are people who do the same things every day at the same time. While this can be helpful for some things, if it becomes too extreme, our vision and tolerance narrow. πŸŒ„

Intolerance is prevalent; we are excessively specialized in our pursuit of finding an identity. We forget that it’s HOW we do things and not WHAT we do. 🀷

To integrate a new habit so it feels natural, we need to repeat the same action for 28 days to stabilize a change in the brain. πŸ”

We are all stuck in a rut, and for some, it verges on depression or anxiety. Trying something different or approaching it from a different angle can help free our minds. Don’t be quick to judge whether you can or not; just dive into the new and unexpected territory! 🌊

Apparently, we are becoming less empathetic. We are so caught up in our own problems, tragedies, joys, and worries that we no longer see the beauty around us. 🌺

There is really no need to jump across rooftops to get an enormous kick out of life. πŸ™οΈ

Simple ideas are often the best! 🌈

– Dare to do something perhaps out of character. 🎭
